Teachers' Day
We held our Teachers' Day last Wednesday, too bad I was not able to make it to school because I am to report in the office. I wish to hear the students cheer, I wish too see them for my last year.

DepEd Revitalizes Boy Scouting in Schools
In recognition of the significant role of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) in assisting the school system mold pupils and students into becoming responsible citizens, the Department of Education has revitalized boy scouting in the elementary and secondary levels.
With the BSP’s impressive track record on youth development, the scouting is an effective program in leadership and value formation of every child. It specifically aims to develop boys and young men into well-rounded individuals with exemplary character worth emulating by schoolchildren.
To support the initiatives of the organization, Education Secretary Jesli Lapus urged the officials and personnel of the Department to be members of the BSP. Likewise, school heads of both public and private elementary and high schools were encouraged to promote membership among pupils, students, parents and teachers at the start of a school year.
The DepEd chief, however, stressed that “membership to the BSP is voluntary and shall not be made a condition for enrolment, transfer or clearance of pupils and students.” Membership fees and other fund-raising activities of the BSP shall be collected by unit leaders who will immediately remit in full to the local councils duly chartered by the BSP national office. “No quota on membership shall be required,” Lapus added.
The authorized membership fees are P40 for scouts and unit leaders, and P100 for institutional and parent representatives.
The Secretary directed field officials to designate their education supervisors and department heads or teachers as scouting coordinators to support and monitor the implementation of the Boy Scouts’ program to ensure its benefits to schoolchildren interested in the movement.
The Center for Students and Co-curricular Affairs (CSCA) shall serve as the office-in-charge of all scouting activities in the Department.

Last na nga siguro
I am perfectly out of my head, you see I had this talk with my manager and she told me that she's no longer willing to let our client renew another year with us, teling that it's no longer a healthy relationship with regards to the program thrusts we have and some other aspects that we are advocating. And it's already final. She gave two options: I either apply for our client or stay with the company and carve a new career path. Going back to start, I know I've been carving a different path since I started here in the company, I am a high school science teacher by profession but I was hired as a consultant for the use of technology in the classroom and at the same time a preschool teacher. When I entered this company I was hoping I could get at least the feeling of working in an office but then I was deployed to a school. Going for another path would be easy for me but I'll surely miss a lot of other things. Just before the school year started I drafted my timelime, I was setting my course to having a preschool, going solo and the things I have to achieve.
On the other hand, I will surely miss the preschool department: my students-- the K1 and the K2 plus the nursery who are not my students but are very fond of me. Nakakatuwa sila. I will also miss...basta...
I'm still not sure how I'll carve my next year, maybe I'll "LET THE LIGHT SHINE" or try another school so that I may practice my profession or I could also try an NGO.

New
I’m finally posting something for this one. Last school year has been a blast for me. Everything seems to pass so fast that I couldn’t feel I got a life. On the other hand I miss rushing home at night, preparing for class and the tutorial sessions and on some days going home scared of the frequent news on hold up. I also miss earning an extra for my climbs and other needs. Too bad I already told them I can’t handle a tutee this school year.
This school year started well and I am already enjoying the company of my new students and those would-be my students next year (if still workable). We have a number of new students and some students who transferred to other schools. But just the same, I am happy with my new set of classes. One the first week of classes, I help in the Guidance program called the “No tear week”. It is a week long program on helping the students adjust to the school’s set up. It worked well for me I was able to pacify a number of cry babies and even made them attached to me more than their advisers. And I guess I know more nursery students’ names than my kinder 1 students. I’ve seen my K1 students for two sessions now and on Monday would be my second session with the K2 kids.

Summer!
It summer break already and I am here today in the office. We held our graduation last Wednesday and it marks my last day of seeing my students. But feel happy for them that they are growing in knowledge and they are going more independent. Surely I will miss them, specially the ones who've been close to me.

last months....
We just had our Preschool Foundation Day yesterday. I didn't enjoy it much and I would rather have my classes than be on the ticket booth of the event but at least I was able to interact with my co-teachers. On the other hand I enjoy the conversations I had except for the none sense jokes they are telling.

Let's try to catch up on what's happening inside my classroom.
The 4oth Foundation celebration is just a week away and soon grduation will be on on its way. The pressure is rising but they might be easier this time. I am still enjoying the classroom and the Science laboratory classes. Sometimes, I wish I'm part of this school but I really wish to be in in a Catholic school. There's a lot of things I envy and hate (or maybe dislike) here. I think "hate" fits better. The eager anticipation of summer break also slows me down knowing that I will miss my students. Specially now that half of my students have been with me for two school years now.

just some updates...
The sembreak is almost over and by Monday I will be back in the classroom again. And the next thing that I would be anticipating is the Christmas break (",) then the summer break then... Who knows? I'm still weighing things out hope I can pick the best.

Teachers' Day
| Last Tuesday and Wednesday, the school celebrated Teachers' Day (or maybe Days hehehehe). On Tuesday we had it for the preschool department, I got the loudest cheer from the students. Well I really should, I'm handling them all. I just wish I can convert their cheers into cash (hehehehehehe). This is my second and last Teachers' Day here in school so I did my best to enjoy it. On Wednesday, we held our celebration at Oasis Pavillion, other details tsaka na..... erick's inviting for a climb this weekend |

| A student kissed me good bye as their class goes back to their classroom this morning. She is so attached to me that she fondly calls me daddy, I always stop her whenever she calls me that way but sometimes it helps me to make her finish her task. Before; she demands me to be beside her as she accomplishes her worksheets; like spell her section, remind her class number, or guide her hand with the mouse. Now she can do those more independently knowing that I trust her that she can do it. I wish to talk to her mom or dad but I guess I may sound weird if I share them my story. I can’t think of what I should do about it, maybe I’ll just get to know her better by asking her other teachers. |

running home
This is what I never miss every single day as I pursue my way home--running from F.Manalo to E.Rodriguez. I don't know what keeps me doing it, I just do it. And as I run I compose what could be worth posting for the day, which I eventually forget upon reaching the keyboard.
Last time I spent some time chatting with my tutee to at least lighten up my spirit, like how I spend the rest of my day, my travel home to tondo, my likes, hobbies, interests and anything. I told her that I visit McDonald's SM San Lazaro often to have my generic snack. Then after the session she asked if the McDonald's I'm eating at beside Goldilock's. I told her yes it is beside Goldilock's. Then I was surprised with her reaction telling me that it is near their place and that they also eat there. Surprise as I am I can't contain to laugh under my breath knowing that she lives in Mandaluyong. Huh! And should I expect her to learn much from me? Of the many chances of having a McDonald's beside a Goldilock's she's affirming it's near her place!
Another classic answer I got from her is that ---
Oh wait I'll give the scenario firts....
She's cursing the scientist for dicovering such volumes of facts which she is now trying to grasp until he reaches BC. Whoa we suddenly had our integration to VE! She's telling that Moses is the first man and not Adam....Why?
Because Moses is older!

Late post
Lemon Popsicle
First day of classes went very well for the K2 students since I’ve taught them already last year. Only four new students came in this school year, one for each section and I think they also enjoyed my classes. Unexplainable feeling surrounds me every time I see them now enrolled on the next grade. And I guess this is what every teacher feel about their students: proud that they’ve taught their students and helped them where they are now. They make my heart so light and made me show my smile and wave my hand everytime I meet them. I believe my teachers are proud of me now also, specially that I’ve joined them in their vocation of teaching. Teaching is not just about feeding the brain but also filling the heart with values and to make our students life-long learners.
Sweet Monday
They’re back! The K2 students flocked about me as they saw me approach their room to fetch them. Greeting me with their sweetest smiles and waving hands they all look proud that they are now in K2. Some climbed on my back some pulled my arms and most of them started telling where they spent their vacations and that they already lost their tooth and that a new one is growing.

My classroom
This is my third attemp to create my second blog. I always get reminded of starting this one everytime I'm with my students or my tutee. I just can't contain the scenarios in my classroom.
